Associate
Canon T. Young is a litigation associate focusing on commercial litigation. His practice includes general commercial litigation, bankruptcy, insurance law, Proposition 65, employment law, and products liability. Mr. Young's litigation experience includes factual investigations, drafting complaints, cross complaints and answers, traditional and electronic discovery, depositions, law and motion practice including drafting demurrers and motions to strike, discovery motions, summary judgment motions, conducting oral argument, negotiation, mediation, and counseling clients on avoidance of litigation.
Canon Young received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1996 and his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993 with a double major in Political Science and Rhetoric. During law school, Mr. Young worked with the Northwestern University School of Law Legal Clinic and the Black Law Student Association. Mr. Young is licensed to practice in California, all federal courts in the State of California, and Illinois. Before joining Greenan, Peffer, Sallander & Lally LLP, Mr. Young worked at Foley & Lardner and Boughey Garvey & Bushner in San Francisco representing retailers, manufacturers, construction firms and the California Department of Transportation.
